3rd of the 3 in 1 EVENT: THE CLUSTER ASSEMBLY AND THE INTERCULTURAL AND INTERGENERATIONAL GATHERING (July 27)
MAIN HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY:
A. CLUSTER ASSEMBLY
The
presence of the Holy Spirit was really palpable as we accomplished the main
task of the first part of the day- Cluster’s proposal for Cluster Coordinator.
Preceded by an hour of Eucharistic Adoration, the Clusters were able to select
without difficulty the sister they want to propose to the General Team as their
Cluster Coordinator.
The
Cluster Assembly was concluded by a Thanksgiving Mass presided by Msgr. Peter
Cañonero, the brother of Srs. Catalina and Conception both SSJs. It was offered
for the needs and intentions of the newly elected Provincial Coordinator
Marcelina Sta. Cruz, Provincial Vicar Yolanda Pugal and Provincial
Administratrix Alma Miranda, and also for the eternal rest of our sisters who
passed away this year: Beatriz Bristol, Telesfora Sondia and Ma. Flora. Perez.
Msgr. Peter, who feels very much at home with us because of Cathy and Concept,
shared with us a very meaningful, inspiring and challenging homily including his
personal experience with us:
“I
had my personal encounters with your Congregation… of course, because of my two
biological sisters who are your members… In some ways, I also journeyed with
you… I still remember when I was a seminarian (correct me if I am wrong)…the
direction of the congregation was focused on simple living and living with the
poor: I still remember that you were giving up your big schools and properties
… to concretely live a simple lifestyle and live with the poor… Also there
comes a time in your journey that you focused your direction in talleres. You
opened talleres in different areas of the country, producing liturgical
vestments, etc… Thanks to our dear Ma. Flora’s initiative and in acknowledging
her ingenuity- you were able to help poor women by employing them in your
talleres and giving them the rights and benefits as workers…”
“You
are called to the true spirit of renewal, commitment and fidelity to the Charism
of your Founders… all your ministries should bring the presence of Jesus in the
midst of the people in the poor working world… Finally, may the real presence
of Jesus in the Eucharist, the loving care of our Blessed Mother Mary, of our
Patron St. Joseph, and your founders St. Mother Bonifacia and Father Butinya,
be our strength and our joy in leading all to Heavenly Communion of love. Amen.”
B. INTERCULTURAL AND INTERGENERATIONAL
GATHERING
INTERCULTURAL and INTERGENERATIONAL GATHERING … with the theme Thank you Lord is the closing celebration of the 3 in 1 moment for the Holy Family Province. Though much preparations were made by the different communities, they began the ‘light’ and recreational time for bonding through practices of the presentations and the sharing by stages (according to the stages in the Formative Itinerary) of the symbol to present their respective stage. This sharing was done during lunch of the 27th of July while the practices were held on free times during the said 3 in 1 moment.
With much excitement and eagerness, with food from PNG,
Vietnam and Philippines awaiting all during the afternoon snacks, the sisters
gathered at 4pm at the dining room and after which everyone proceeded to the Madres Mayores Sala and started the most
awaited thanksgiving celebration.
