The 12th Luzon Cluster Assembly held on September 26-27, 2020 at the CT-PH Provincial House was both presential and online watch (via Google Meet) for our two sisters still stranded in Iloilo City. Present were a total of 32 sisters with Sr. Yolanda (PNG Cluster) and Sr. Victoria (Visayas-Vietnam Cluster). Preceding the Assembly proper, we had the Online celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the Manila Cathedral with Fr. Cali Llamado officiating. The welcome and opening of the Assembly was done by Sr. Jennifer (Luzon Cluster Coordinator) and prepared us for the Recollection talk: SSJ in the Time of the Pandemic and Beyond by Archbishop Socrates Villegas. This was followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The recollection ushered us to silence and deepened the Nazareth values that we have seen and experienced during these past and present years.
The assembly first took to task the Provincial Assembly Proposals vis-a-vis the CT- CAP and identified the priorities, the needs to adapt /include in their CT- CAP for the next 3 years . These were done in the personal, consensus and plenum. Day 1 was moderated by Sr. Catalina (CT- Murphy). Messages and greetings were read before or in between breaks from: Sr. Lillian, Sr. Maria A., Sr. Gregoria, Sr. Irene etc…
Day 2 was moderated by Sr. Milagros (CT- Butinya). Recap of the previous day was read by the Secretary Sr. Maria (CT- Mandaluyong). The unfinished reports of the other CTs for the items to be incorporated in their CAPs continued. This was followed by consensus making on the Lines for the Cluster to focus on. After the health break, we proceeded for the Consultation for the Cluster Coordinator. The body was asked as to its preference in the Nomination. Preferred was Open Nomination. It was the shortest nomination ever done. Confirmation is needed from the General Team.
For the Lines to Focus on by the Cluster for the next three years we proceeded then for the suggested activities for the Cluster Projects to answer the identified Lines of Action.
We had a presential
celebration of the Holy Eucharist following the necessary protocols. Fr. Mau,
CMF was the Mass Presider. Picture taking by CTs and the Luzon Cluster with our
elderly sisters followed.
The afternoon session continued with the discussion on Other Matters concerning the Province and Cluster as well as recommendations on how to deepen our knowledge and relationship with Fr. Francisco. The incorporation of Sr. Julita Cinco in the Province and in the Cluster, temporarily being assigned in CT-PH was announced.
The last activity
was the Presentation about Fr. Butinya. We had our personal reflection during
the on-going video presentation. Wrapping up the days' activities, we ended
with the VESPERS. Sr. Jennifer declared the closing of the assembly as she
thanked wholeheartedly all the sisters who participated and worked hard in the
preparation of the ongoing activities and its success.
